The line drawing of Václav Havel's portrait was the basis for the engraving of his portrait. The drawing was created by
Martin Srb engraver of the State Printing House of Prices, according to the art design by
Eva Hašková.
The line drawing is printed on A3 paper using the offset technique and is hand-numbered including the authors' signatures.
Offset printing belongs to the category of printing from the surface, where printing and non-printing areas are at the same height level. The State Printer of Valuables offers the possibility of using offset technology in a valued way, e.g. in so-called iris printing (smooth transition of different shades of colours), application of high light, abrasion-resistant and valued inks. This makes offset printing suitable for the security of a wide range of printed valuables, including banknotes.
