The Dagmar and Václav Havel Foundation VIZE 97 has a wide range of activities. It focuses primarily on cultural, social, educational and health-related activities. This includes, for example, support for talented music students in the form of scholarships or awareness-raising in the area of colon cancer prevention.
In its endeavours and goals, the Foundation - in the spirit of its name - looks primarily to the future and thus strives to live up to the legacy of Václav Havel, which it manages and develops. Each year, the Foundation awards the Vize 97 Prize to an outstanding thinker whose work goes beyond the traditional framework of scientific knowledge and addresses fundamental questions of knowledge, being and human existence.
Státní tiskárna cenin (The State Printing House of the Czech Republic), a state-owned enterprise, is linked to the birth of the independent Czechoslovak state, the need for its own monetary system and the production of banknotes.
